Job Title: Hostess
Job Summary:
As the first point of contact for our members/guests, the hostess will be responsible for greeting, seating, and managing reservations, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and taken care of from the moment they enter the club. The hostess plays a key role in maintaining a smooth flow of operations and collaborating with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members/guests warmly and with a positive attitude as they arrive at the club.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure proper seating arrangements and smooth table turnover.
- Maintain an organized and clean host stand and dining area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure members' needs are met.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints in a professional and calm manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with various front-of-house tasks, including helping to clear and set tables, as needed.
- Ensure that waiting guests are kept informed of their status in a timely and polite manner.
- Promote a positive, customer-centric environment and contribute to the overall team dynamic.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to remain calm and positive in a busy, high-energy setting.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems and phone etiquette is a plus.
Work Environment:
The hostess will work in a lively environment, interacting with members/guests, kitchen staff, and management. This role involves long hours on feet, working in a fast-paced setting, and maintaining a positive, professional attitude during high-pressure situations.
